Update: Unfortunately, due to various pressures, I am having to limit the bookbinding work I take on in the coming months. I still hope to do some binding work in future, and would also be happy to refer you to another bookbinder, but I am not able to take on new work for the time being.
Most of the people who contact me via this site do so because they have books that they are attached to and that need repairing or rebinding. It is amazing how a little attention can give a book a new lease of life. Depending on the type of work involved and the state of the book, it may be advisable for me to examine the book and discuss it with you before giving a quote. I come into Cape Town regularly and so if you are in Cape Town or the Western Cape we can arrange to meet and discuss possibilities.
However, if it involves fairly straightforward work, such as the rebinding of Bibles where the book block is basically intact, and where clients are able to pay by EFT, books can also be dropped off and collected at St George’s Charity Bookshop in the centre of Cape Town. However, please contact me about this first and I will send you more details about this option.
Books can also be sent to me in Robertson at P O Box 169, Robertson, 6705. However, please contact me first to be sure that I am able to take on the work.
You are also welcome to visit my bindery outside Robertson. If you contact me to make an appointment I will send directions on how to get here.
I can be contacted by phone on 084 5305234 – if you have difficulty getting through, please send an sms and I will get back to you. Alternatively, and preferably, you can send me an email through this form:
